Joshua Childers Sr.'s Two Isaacs Connections
1. Joshua Childers Jr., son of Joshua Childers Sr, married Amanda Vance 20 November 1842 in Grant County, KY. They had three daughters, Lucy J., Atha A. and Martha E. Joshua Childers Jr. died sometime prior to 1850. Amanda married Elisha Isaacs, most likely the son of Godfrey Isaacs and Keziah Johnson, on 23 April 1852 (bond.) They had one daughter, Sarah W. Isaacs, born about 1853.
2. Martha/ Patsy Childers, daughter of Joshua Childers Sr. was deceased at the time her father's will was written in 1856. Martha married George Pierce and had five daughters. See 1850 Grant Co. pg 358, 988/989. Martha's daughter Mary was mentioned in Joshua's will and Mary and her siblings were mentioned in the probated land division. Mary Pierce, the daughter of George Pierce and Martha/Patsy Childers, married Jackson Isaacs, most likely the son of Godfrey Isaacs and Keziah Johnson..

The vital records of Jackson County list a son, James William Isaacs born to Jackson Isaacs and Polly in August 1859. Jackson Isaacs, age 31, enlisted in the 3rd KY Cavalry at Richmond, Madison Co. KY in October 1861.
Grant County Court Records list, "Martha Pierce, daughter of George Pierce being over 14, chose James Evans as her guardian. 27 Nov 1858."
