I have tried to provide a correct copy of the census, but with all transcriptions there are most likely errors.  Some names were very hard to read, and I interpreted them to the best of my ability.  You might study a name and come to a different conclusion.  My census transcriptions as well as the information I provide with links, are my understanding of the data.  But you are responsible for your own conclusions and I encourage you to verify the information I have shared. My desire to present a correct record of these families outweighs my ego, so please do not hesitate to question my information and share your conclusions with me---

Cornelius ISAACS Self Md 45 KY KY TN Cornelius Isaacs married Margaret Pigg 6 June 1855 in Owsley County.  Cornelius was the son of Fielding and Susan Bowman. Margaret listed Milton and Mary Pigg as her parents in a deposition for a CW pension, and stated that they were born in KY. VR Jackson Co: daughter Mary Jane born 22 March 1858.  Cornelius served as a Corporal in Company D, 7th Ky Volunteer Infantry

I think the census taker got carried away with the KY KY TN combination. It is correct for James and Rachel (above) but not correct for the family of Cornelius and Margaret, or Elisha and Viney (below).
