Michael was listed as Michael on the 1850 and 1870 censuses.  He was listed as William M. in the 1860.  I am not sure if his name was William Michael or Michael William.

Nancy McDaniel appeared on the 1850 census as Nancy Carpenter, wife of Stephen Carpenter.  I am not sure if Stephen and Nancy were ever formally married but they lived together from about 1843 until about 1852 when their last child Stephen Paul Carpenter was born.  Nancy was the daughter of William Howard and Molly Salyer.  Polly Jenkins was a daughter of Nancy Howard. She was born after Nancy's relationship with Stephen Carpenter ended.

However, that date is questionable considering that Hiram was still single and living with his parents in Lawrence County when the 1870 census was taken on the 16th of  June.  Which also means grandson William Isaacs might not be a child of Hiram and Martha.  Granville Isaacs was born in October.  Floyd VR: Malinda Isaacs born 7 July 1874 on Beaver Creek to Hiram Isaacs and Martha Swiney, father born Caney Creek, mother born in Pike County.  Hulda Isaacs born 5 December 1876 daughter of Hiram Isaacs and ___ Swinney, father born in Floyd, mother born in Pike.

He served as a Private in the 32nd KY Inf., Co. B and the 53rd Ky Inf, Co D. during the Civil War. He moved to Missouri in about 1884 and was still there in 1890 when he applied for a Civil War service pension. He was a patient at the National Military Hospital in Topeka, Kansas when he died in 1907.

I am not sure who Tom Isaac was – he might have been another child of Thomas Isaacs and Mary Fant (see page 10B, 120/126). Mary Ann Wilson's occupation was listed as "helping Aunt."  After Mary Ann Wilson's name the enumerator has written, "Confined: that is the girl, so that she is not helping Aunt much just now."

This Fielding was the nephew of the Fielding that lived in Lawrence County, KY in 1850.  According to the census, Lutta was born in March.

Isaacs who was 27 years old.  The 1860 Mortality Schedule listed Mary A. Isaacs, 37 of Pulaski County as having died of typhoid fever in January 1860. Edward didn't have a spouse on the 1860 census.  In 1870 he was married to Margaret.  According to the census, Geo W. suffered from "direah."

She was apparently the widow of a man named Brock when she married Stephen Carpenter 18 November 1852 in Rockcastle County.  Stephen and Amanda were granted a divorce in November 1859, to be effective in one year. Marinda Carpenter was listed as Marinda Brock on the 1860 census. According to the Jackson County Circuit Court records, Sophia Carpenter was the illegitimate daughter of Amanda's daughter Susan Carpenter and Elisha Harrison.
